ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY
Let's hear what the ICJ has to say!
We are a handful of volunteers from around the world who have decided that the time for talk is over. We will use the power of the law to ask the world’s governments a simple question: What are they doing to protect future generations?

In the nineties, the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion on nuclear weapons. Today, another threat has captured the headlines - climate change. Simply, we want an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the rights of future generations.

Our team includes everyone from student activists to artists to senior attorneys. Young people of all nations are welcome to join us, and members of our team hail from around the world, making this a truly global movement.

Our legal framework has been endorsed by UN Special Rapporteur David Boyd and numerous other legal experts from both the United Nations and civil society. You can find a list of allied law professors here, and please contact us if
your school or organization would like to be included!
To change everything, we need everyone.
